WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Lightning halted Midwestern State's match with Southwestern Oklahoma State on Sunday at Stang Park. The Mustangs led 1-0 when the game was halted at the 33:53 mark in the second half.
The game was suspended 2:39 into the second half for an hour due to lightning in the area. After resuming play for approximately 10 minutes, lightning was again detected. Before the first delay, the Mustangs and Bulldogs battled to a 0-0 draw.

Tatum Sharp each put a shot on frame in the opening 45, but neither found its mark.
Freshman keeper
Samantha Upton made five saves, including four in the first half to keep the Bulldogs out of the scoring column.
The lone goal in the contest came in the 57
th-minute. Freshman
Senna Garcia lined up a corner kick to the near post. The ball ricocheted off SWOSU's Alexis Fowler into the back of the net to break the scoring seal and give the Maroon and Gold a 1-0 advantage.
