THE RUNDOWN
SILVER CITY, N.M. – Junior Erin Richburg and sophomore Raven Presley each tallied double-digit kills as Midwestern State avoided the sweep in Silver City, 3-1 (25-21, 23-24, 25-22, 24-13).
 
Richburg finished with a team-high 13 kills while Presley added 10. Redshirt sophomore Sarah Glawe dished out a season-high 36 assists while sophomore Jaycie Fuller posted 15 digs.
 
As a team, MSU Texas produced a season-high 16 block assists, led by five from junior Sarah Eakin. The Wichita Falls native eclipsed the five-block mark for the fourth time this season.
 
Richburg hit .429 with four kills in the Mustangs second set win, snapping a string of losing 12-straight sets, dating back to Sept. 1.
 
Western New Mexico's Selai Damuni and Bria Augustine tallied 16 and 14 kills, respectively as WNMU produced 58 total kills in the match.
 
MATCH NOTES
- The Mustangs dropped their ninth-straight match to fall to 2-10 on the season and 0-4 in Lone Star Conference play
- Midwestern State won its first set in being swept in three-straight contests, dating back to Sept. 1
- Junior Erin Richburg finished with a season-high 13 kills, marking the third time this season the Rowlett native tallied double-digits
- Sophomore Raven Presley broke 10 kills for the third time this season and second in the last four matches
- Redshirt sophomore Sarah Glawe dished out a season-high 36 assists
- Junior Sarah Eakin rejected five attacks by WNMU, the fourth-time this season the Wichita Falls native had at least five blocks
