@MSUWSoc blanked by Oklahoma Baptist, 2-0

THE RUNDOWN
SHAWNEE, Okla. – Sophomore keeper McKenna Williams came off the bench for a career-high seven saves in a scoreless second half, but the damage had been done early as Midwestern State lost its second-straight 2-0 decision at Oklahoma Baptist.

Williams made her season-debut in the second half after replacing freshman Samantha Upton who surrendered a pair of goals before the intermission.

Junior Mallory LeDoux put a pair of shots on frame for the Mustangs, playing 26 minutes off the bench. Sophomores Kelly Cannistra, Tatum Sharp and Madison Williams along with freshmen Randi Heaton and Emma Baley all added a shot on goal for the Maroon and White. Unfortunately for MSU Texas, none were able to sneak past OBU keeper Emily Griffith.

Kelsey Bumgarner broke the scoring seal in the 16th-minute, scoring off a deflection in the box. With 19 seconds remaining in the first half, Halle Hill added to the Bison lead after Kerregan Edwards fed Hill off a deflection.
