The schedule features two non-conference matchups as the Mustangs take on Humboldt State in the season opener on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Memorial Stadium before taking on 2017 national runner-up West Florida on Sept. 8. Both games kick off at 7 p.m.
 
MSU Texas takes on Angelo State on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. before battling defending national champion Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday, Oct. 6 for Family Day.
 
The Mustangs host Tarleton State for Homecoming on Oct. 27th before facing West Texas A&M for Military Appreciation Day in the regular season finale on Nov. 10.
