LEADING OFF: Midwestern State hits the road for the final time in 2018, travelling to Texas Woman's (21-15, 9-9 LSC) on Saturday and Sunday for a Lone Star Conference showdown. First pitch in Saturday's doubleheader is slated for noon, along with the series finale on Sunday. Midwestern State (13-19, 7-17 LSC) looks to rebound after being swept by 10
th-ranked Angelo State in three tightly-contested matchups last weekend.

STANDINGS SHAKEDOWN: MSU must win at least four of its final six games and get help from other conference foes to keep its Lone Star Conference Tournament hopes alive. The ninth-place Mustangs trail TWU (9-9 LSC) with six games to go and would have to jump Texas A&M-Kingsville (9-12 LSC) and Eastern New Mexico (8-16 LSC) for the final position in the championships.

BRINTZENHOFF DROPPING BOMBS: Senior infielder
Taylor Brintzenhoff is swinging a hot bat going into the series with Texas Woman's. The Fleetwood, Pa., product has launched four long balls in her last seven games, hitting .333 with six runs, nine RBI and two doubles to go along with a .917 slugging percentage.

FROZEN ROPES FOR EROPKIN: Sophomore outfielder
Kelsey Eropkin enters the series riding a seven-game hitting streak. On the season, the Shawnee, Okla., native has hit in 26 of 32 games and leads the team with a .330 average. During her hitting streak, the sophomore owns a .500 average (14-for-28) with three doubles, seven runs and four RBI.

ELLER EARNING HER SPOT: Since being inserted into the starting lineup on March 29, freshman outfielder
Marley Eller has made the most of the opportunity. The Burleson product has hit in six of seven contests, going 10-for-25 (.400) at the dish with three doubles, five runs scored and three RBI.

POTENT OFFENSE POWERS PIONEERS: Texas Woman's enters the matchup after dropping five of six to Tarleton State and Angelo State over the last two weeks. Offensively, the Pioneers average almost six runs per game and hit .335 as a team. Outfielder Jordan Kisselburg leads the squad with a .433 average, including five homers and 23 RBI while utility Tylia Sylestine has been the primary run producer, hitting .361 with 11 homers and 37 RBI. In the circle, the Pioneers own a 5.34 average, surrendering a .297 average as a staff. Abby Walker (10-7, 5.29 ERA), Cheyenne Mahy (9-5, 5.38 ERA) and Raegyn Parrish (1-2, 5.63 ERA) are expected to see action on the rubber this weekend.
