LEADING OFF: Midwestern State hits the road for the final time in 2018, travelling to Texas Woman's (21-15, 9-9 LSC) on Saturday and Sunday for a Lone Star Conference showdown. First pitch in Saturday's doubleheader is slated for noon, along with the series finale on Sunday. STANDINGS SHAKEDOWN: MSU must win at least four of its final six games and get help from other conference foes to keep its Lone Star Conference Tournament hopes alive. The ninth-place Mustangs trail TWU (9-9 LSC) with six games to go and would have to jump Texas A&M-Kingsville (9-12 LSC) and Eastern New Mexico (8-16 LSC) for the final position in the championships.
