MUSTANGS NOTES
 
FIRST SERVE: 20th-ranked MSU Texas heads to Las Vegas to take on four nationally ranked opponents, beginning with No. 14 Rollins on Monday, March 12. The Mustangs take on 15th-ranked Hawaii-Hilo (Tuesday), No. 19 Hawaii Pacific (Wednesday) before closing play with sixth-ranked Azusa Pacific (Friday). All four matches are held at the Darling Tennis Center.
 
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Underclassmen have shouldered the load for Midwestern State through the early goings. Of the 33 singles wins, 26 have come from underclassmen and 15 have come from the freshman class of Alex Martinez Roca (6-1), Nolan McCaig (5-3) and Jean Muniz (5-2). Sophomore and reigning LSC Freshman of the Year Angel Palacios leads the team in singles wins with a 7-1 record.

DOUBLING DOWN: The Maroon and Gold have been dominant in doubles all season, holding a 20-4 combined record as a team. Additionally, MSU has won at least two doubles matches in every outing and has swept all three courts on four occasions. Freshman Nolan McCaig and junior Dillon Pineda lead the team with a 7-1 record at the No. 1 line.
