@MSUWSoc duels Texas Woman’s to scoreless draw

THE RUNDOWN
WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Sophomore McKenna Williams made 11 saves and recorded a clean sheet in her first collegiate start as Midwestern State battled Texas Woman's to a 0-0 double overtime draw on Friday at Stang Park.
 
Brandy Villasana, Sarah Stewart, Imani Morlock and Micah Wilson played all 110 minutes in front of Williams, pitching a shutout for the second time this season.
 
Randi Heaton and Senna Garcia each played 100 minutes in the midfield with Garcia putting all three of her shots on frame.
 
The Mustangs were held without a shot on goal for the final 42:58 of the contest, the last good scoring opportunity coming on Garcia's header in the 68th-minute.
 
Williams made a pair of saves in the first overtime period, rejecting Lexi D'Abrosca and Brittany Jones before making her final stop of the evening with just under four minutes to go in the second extra frame.
 
TWU keeper Jazmine Maxwell made four saves to keep the Maroon and Gold scoreless while Haley Ward led the Pioneers with six shots and three on-frame.

- Midwestern State moves to 2-6-2 overall and 1-3-1 in Lone Star Conference play after a 0-0 draw with Texas Woman's
- The Mustangs played their first 0-0 double OT match since tying New Mexico Highlands on Sept. 5, 2016 on the road
- MSU Texas was held to eight shots for the third consecutive match
- Sophomore keeper McKenna Williams made a season-high 11 saves in her first career start, tallying a clean sheet
