Presley, Honeycutt power @MWSUVball in loss to Cameron

THE RUNDOWN
LAWTON, Okla. – Sophomore Raven Presley and freshman Lauren Honeycutt continued to dominate in the middle on Tuesday night in Lawton. The duo combined for 24 kills and 11 blocks as Midwestern State dropped its Red River Rivalry matchup to Cameron, 3-1.

Presley paced the Mustangs' offense with 13 kills on 28 swings – good for a .357 hitting percentage – and added five blocks to match a season-high. Honeycutt tacked on four solo blocks and six total while boasting 11 kills.

Sophomore Sarah Glawe eclipsed the 40-assist plateau for the third time this season, handing out 43 dimes in the loss.

The Mustangs took a 1-0 lead in the match by an early slew of errors from the Aggies. Freshman Samantha Manio served the Maroon and Gold to a 7-1 edge early. MSU Texas hit .231 in the frame while limiting the Aggies to an .027 average with seven errors.

Cameron flipped the script in the second set to even the match. The Aggies had the Mustangs doubled up at 18-9 before a 10-3 run by MSU Texas cut the deficit to 21-19. Four-straight kills from CU clinched the point.

In the third set, the Mustangs rallied to pull even at 24, but back-to-back errors gave the Aggies a 2-1 lead.
