WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Newcomer
Ben Westwick joins the Midwestern State tennis program for the 2018-19 season from Memorial Senior High School in Houston.

Scott Linn said. "He's very strong both academically and on the court. I was really drawn to his commitment to individual excellence at such a young age. He's a very strong doubles player and a tremendous competitor with great size. His serve is a big weapon for him."
Westwick led MHS to a 2017 State 6A Championship and a pair of semifinalist finishes in 2015-16. With partner Anthony Huynh, Westwick advanced to the finals in doubles at the state tournament in 2017.
A three-star prospect according to Tennis Recruiting Network, Westwick is the 25
th-ranked player in the state and holds an 18-10 record as an amateur in the junior circuit.
Westwick plans to major in Mechanical Engineering at MSU. He joins fellow signee,
Quentin Scharfenberg in Linn's 2018-19 signing class.
