Facing a 4-2 deficit with two outs in the sixth, Midwestern State (18-23, 9-16 LSC) began its comeback with Erin Knox and Taylor Mordecai earning back-to-back walks. Carli Woolsey snapped her six-game hitless streak with a two-RBI double to right center field to knot the game up at 4-4. Kelsey Knox followed in the next at bat with a single up the middle to plate the eventual game-winning run.

With the bases loaded with one out, Morgan Harrison drove in a run for TWU with a single to left field. A force out at home and a popup to shortstop avoided any further damage for the Mustangs.

A groundout to second for Tara Solomon scored the first run of the inning before Katy Stephens drove in the second with a single down the left field line.
