THE RUNDOWN
WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State begins a five-game road swing Tuesday as the Mustangs look for the season sweep of Oklahoma Panhandle State with a non-conference doubleheader at Aggie Softball Field in Goodwell, Okla. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- Midwestern State dropped a three-game series to Eastern New Mexico last weekend at Mustangs Park, 2-1
- The Greyhounds earned a 9-7 win in eight innings in the opener Friday after the Mustangs came back with four runs in the seventh
- MSU came away with a 6-3 victory in game one of Saturday's doubleheader before ENMU recorded an 11-0 run rule of MSU in five innings for its first-ever series win over the Mustangs
 
A LOOK AT THE MUSTANGS
- Midwestern State enters the week with a 10-13 season record
- Freshman center fielder Lauren Lindgren took over as MSU's top hitter last weekend after batting .500 in the series against the Greyhounds
- On the season, Lindgren is batting .329 with a team-high 25 hits, 18 runs, 16 RBI, six stolen bases and five home runs
- Sophomore right fielder Carli Woolsey has also put together a strong season for the Mustangs at the plate with a .324 hitting clip with 22 hits, 13 RBI and four homers
- In the circle, senior Erin Knox carries a team-best 3.44 ERA while holding the opposition to a .241 batting average
- Sophomore Peyton Helton leads the Mustangs with four wins while posting a 3.53 ERA with six complete games in 10 starts and fanning 39 batters in 67.1 innings
 
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
- Oklahoma Panhandle State comes into Tuesday's doubleheader having lost its last five games for a 9-11 record
- Senior utility Anyssa Barbosa leads the Aggies with a .395 average with 17 hits, 18 RBI and eight runs scored
- Senior infielder Darcie Wilson is adding a .350 hitting clip with a team-high 21 hits, 19 runs and 14 walks while totaling 18 RBI in all 20 starts this season
- Sophomore Julia Ibarra sports a team-best 5.04 ERA in 64.1 innings with eight complete games in nine starts
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Midwestern State is a perfect 17-0 in the all-time series against Oklahoma Panhandle State going back to the 2005 season
- The Mustangs earned a doubleheader sweep of the Aggies at Mustangs Park on Feb. 8 with 2-0 and 8-4 victories
- MSU is 4-0 on the road against OPSU, last earning a 20-0 win in Goodwell on Apr. 4, 2007
