WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State plays host to Red River rival Cameron in a three-game Lone Star Conference series Friday and Saturday at Mustangs Park.
The series gets underway Friday at 6 p.m. before a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
A LOOK AT THE MUSTANGS
- Midwestern State comes into the weekend with a 12-16 overall record and 3-9 LSC mark for ninth in the standings
- Senior pitcher/first baseman
Erin Knox went 9-for-16 at the plate last week to climb to a team-leading .355 batting average with 27 hits, 14 walks, 13 runs and 11 RBI
- Freshman center fielder
Lauren Lindgren is hitting .333 with a team-high 32 hits, 21 runs, 17 runs, eight stolen bases and five home runs on the year
- Sophomore right fielder
Carli Woolsey is also batting over .300 this season with a .306 hitting clip with 26 hits, 16 RBI, 10 runs and five homers

SCOUTING THE AGGIES
- Cameron is 22-7 overall while sitting in second place in the LSC with a 10-2 record
- The Aggies are receiving votes in the NFCA Division II poll for the third-straight week, just two spots out of the top 25
- Senior outfielder Breezy McComas, who was named to the national player of the year watch list, leads CU with a .375 average at the plate with 30 hits, 23 runs and 19 walks
- Freshman shortstop Brenna Busby is batting .349 with 30 hits while posting a team-high 26 RBI and seven home runs with half of her hits being extra bases
- Freshman catcher Callie Busby has recorded 30 hits and 25 RBI with nine doubles for a .333 average this season
- Freshman hurler Bethany Hines leads the LSC with 16 wins while ranking second with 83 strikeouts in 120.2 innings of work
- Hines has recorded a 3.36 ERA with three saves in 17 starts and 22 appearances on the season
