SOUTHLAKE, Texas - Midwestern State battled to a 6-3 victory over 23rd-ranked St. Mary's to earn its second Top 25 win in as many days Saturday at the Southlake Tennis Center.
 
The 15th-ranked Mustangs (2-1) claimed two of the three doubles points with a 9-7 decision at the No. 1 spot by senior Ramon Toyos and sophomore Dylan Hall and a 9-7 score in the No. 3 spot by senior Chris Norrie and junior Vasudev Vijayaraman.
 
Norrie extended the Mustangs lead in singles with a quick 6-1, 6-2 win over Bojan Popovic in the No. 6 position.
 
Hall rallied back from a set down with a 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Felix Holloway on court five to add to the MSU tally.
 
No. 5 Ramon Toyos clinched the match for Midwestern State with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 decision at the No. 1 spot. The senior pushed his career win total to 99 Saturday following singles and doubles victories as he looks to become the 11th Mustang in program history to reach 100 career victories.
 
Freshman Angel Palacios recorded Midwestern's final point with a 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 victory over Alex Joseph on court four.
 
St. Mary's (4-3) claimed the No. 2 doubles point as well as three-set wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 singles spots for the 6-3 final.
 
The Mustangs travel to Bolivar, Mo., Friday to take on 12th-ranked Northwest Missouri State at the John A. Bryant Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
