  • Midwestern State enters its first weekend of competition as a nationally-ranked program this week as the Mustangs host a pair of key Lone Star Conference matchups against Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman's
  • The Mustangs currently sit fourth in the LSC standings with a 3-2-1 record for 10 points
  • Texas A&M-Commerce has played seven league contests with a 4-2-1 record for 13 points while Angelo State also carries 13 points through six games with a 4-1-1 mark
  • West Texas A&M also sits in the mix with 12 points at 3-0-3 as the only LSC team to remain undefeated in league play

  • Senior midfielder Destinee Williamson leads the Mustangs offense this season with 15 points (4 goals, 7 assists), ranking eighth nationally in assists and 33rd with three game-winning goals
  • In the LSC, Williamson leads the way in assists and game winners while ranking second in points and fifth in goals scored
  • Sophomore forward Avery Lewis has also been an integral part of the MSU offense this season with three goals and three assists for nine points to rank seventh in the LSC
  • Defensively, the Mustangs have totaled seven shutouts to rank 23rd in the country in shutout percentage 
  • Senior goalkeeper Courtney Burnette paces the LSC in save percentage (.852) and shutout percentage (.583), while coming in 39th in the nation with 69 total saves and 45th in save percentage
  • Texas A&M-Commerce entered the week on a three-game winning streak before playing Texas Woman's to a 1-1 draw on the road Wednesday, going 3-0-1 since suffering a 2-1 loss to Midwestern State two weeks ago at home
  • Senior forward Sophie Haywood leads the Lions with 14 points (6 goals, 2 assists) on the year while junior forward Sabrina Munguia has added 10 points for the TAMUC offense with five goals
  • Sophomore forward Jessika Coronado has tallied four assists to carry the Lions
  • In goal, junior goalkeeper Caitlin Duty has posted six clean sheets with a league-best 0.73 goals against average in 1,230 minutes between the posts
  • Texas Woman's is 4-6-3 overall and 1-4-2 in conference play, falling to MSU, 1-0, in Denton on Sept. 29
  • Senior midfielder Chelsea Martin leads TWU with nine points on the year with four goals and one assist while freshman midfielder Jazmine Navarro has recorded a team-high five assists with one goal
