LUBBOCK, Texas – Japreece Dean led six Lady Raiders in double figures with 21 points as Texas Tech shot 64 percent in a 121-56 exhibition win over Midwestern State Sunday afternoon at United Supermarkets Arena.
Texas Tech erupted for 37 points in the opening period with a 65.2 percent shooting clip while using a pair of 9-0 runs to take a 20-point lead over Midwestern State after 10 minutes of action. Junior guard
Kristin Rydell went 3-for-3 from behind the arc for nine points in the first quarter for lead the Mustangs offense.
The Lady Raiders held the Mustangs to just seven points in the second quarter while shooting 68.8 percent from the floor to take a 66-24 lead into the locker room.

Whitney Taylor recorded 11 of her team-high 14 points in the second half to lead MSU, finishing 5-of-10 from the floor with three triples. Rydell joined Taylor in double figures with 13 points while connecting on three treys for the game.
