Mustangs receiving votes in D2 Media Poll

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State dropped out of the D2 Media Poll released Tuesday by D2SIDA, but are still receiving votes.

The Mustangs (4-1) dropped their first game of the season falling 72-70 to hot shooting St. Mary's (Texas) Saturday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum in the finale of the Patterson Auto Family Classic.

MSU is one of six teams from the South Central Reigon to receive mention in the poll joining No. 4 Tarleton State (Texas), No. 15 Angelo State (Texas) and No. 19 Colorado Mines.

MSU, Regis (Colo.) and West Texas A&M are receiving votes.

Midwestern State hits the road to compete in the Holiday Inn-Airport Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Colorado Mesa Friday and Saturday in Grand Junction. The Mustangs take on Western State (Colo.) Friday at 4 p.m. (Central) before taking the host Mavericks at 8 p.m. (Central) on Saturday.
 
MUSTANGS ON ESPN 95.5:  Once again, every Midwestern State men's basketball will air live on ESPN 95.5 FM beginning the pregame show 15 minutes prior to tipoff.
 
MUSTANGS DIGITAL NETWORK: All Midwestern State home games are set for broadcast on the Mustangs Digital Network both live and on demand at MSUMustangs.tv. Season passes are available for $30 while single games run $9 each.
