Midwestern State looks to snap a six-match losing streak and pick up the program's first-ever win over West Texas A&M on Tuesday when the Mustangs host the Lady Buffs in the Highway 287 Challenge at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The Mustangs went 0-3 last week, falling to Cameron (3-1) in a Lone Star Conference contest Tuesday before dropping a non-conference doubleheader Saturday to Lubbock Christian (3-0) and Texas-Permian Basin (3-2) in Lubbock.
SCOUTING THE LADY BUFFS
– West Texas A&M comes into Tuesday's match with a 4-8 overall record and a 0-4 mark in LSC play
– The Lady Buffs saw their 38-match LSC regular season win streak come to an end Sept. 18 when Texas A&M-Commerce registered a 3-1 win in Canyon
– WTAMU is tied for second in the LSC in blocks with an average of 2.03 per set, led by senior middle blocker Lexi Davis, who is sixth in the league with 0.91 per set (41)
– Freshman outside hitter Courtnee Curl leads the Lady Buffs offense with 111 kills for 2.78 per set
– Junior setter Jessica Jackson runs the WTAMU offense with an average of 7.93 assists per set (238) while junior defensive specialist Lauren Britten leads the defense with 2.91 digs per set (131)

– Blair is averaging 7.98 assists per set for seventh in the LSC
