Midwestern finished with 53 shots, the most since the 1998 season, while limiting the Crimson Storm to just five shot attempts. The Mustangs also held an advantage in shots on goal, 27-2, and corner kicks, 15-1.
Midwestern had a balanced offensive attack with eight different goal scorers and six players that recorded assists. Junior forward Garvin Samaroo led the Mustangs with four points on one goal and two assists while sophomore forward Erick Chapa added three points for MSU.
ELDER BECOMES ALL-TIME WINNINGEST COACH IN PROGRAM HISTORY - Following Thursday's win, Midwestern State head coach Doug Elder became the all-time winningest coach in program history with his 222nd win
