PENSACOLA, Fla. -- No. 18 Midwestern State took a 5-2 setback against yet another nationally ranked opponent Friday morning at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex.
No. 3-ranked Saint Leo improved to 11-3 on the season by taking two of three doubles matches then put the match on ice by taking three of the four completed singles matchups.
Midwestern dropped to 6-5 on the season while moving to 2-4 against nationally opponents. Each of the Mustangs' nine matches against Division II teams have come against regionally ranked opposition and MSU faced Divison I SMU and Incarnate Word in the others.
The Mustangs take on Northwest Missouri State, the No. 3-ranked team in the Central Region, Wednesday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center. First serve is set for 1 p.m.

Kayla Casey for Midwestern's lone doubles win -- an 8-5 decision over Anastasia Wagner and Pauline Helgesson at the No. 1 spot.
Sophomore
Paige Boykin claimed the lone singles victory for MSU routing Katherine Zaatini 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets at No. 6 to improve to 8-3 in singles play this season.
