WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- No. 18 Midwestern State claimed consecutive wins for the first time this season in a 9-0 thrashing of East Central (Okla.) Saturday morning at the MSU Tennis Center.
The Mustangs, who improved to 5-3 on the season, are combined 26-1 against unranked teams this season but suffered narrow 5-4 setbacks to No. 16 St. Mary's (Texas) and No. 19 Southwest Baptist (Mo.) as well as a 5-2 loss to Division I SMU.
It doesn't get any easier over Spring Break as MSU travels to take on No. 7 West Florida on Tuesday, No. 26 Georgia College on Wednesday and No. 3 Saint Leo ( Fla.) on Thursday. All matches are in Pensacola, Fla.

Lauren Pineda and
Lindsay Nochowicz rolled past Srijita Ghosh and Gloria Mayorga 8-2 at No. 2.
Madeline Schorlemmer and
Paige Boykin took a win by default at the No. 3 positon.
Casey set the tone on the singles' side blasting Municoy 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 while Schorlemmer rolled past Dignard 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2.
Coffman improved to 5-0 with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Ghosh at No. 3 and
Courtney Anderson claimed her fourth consecutive win 6-3, 6-1 over Mayorga at No. 4.
Boykin improved to 6-2 on the season with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Veronica Mirjares at No. 5, while Pineda won default at the No. 6 spot.
East Central,the No. 9-ranked team in the Central Region, fell to 7-4.
