WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Tarleton State's Hailey Roberts put down a match-high 18 kills to lead the TexAnns to a 25-18, 25-20, 25-22 win over Midwestern State in Lone Star Conference play Friday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The Mustangs, who fell 4-2 overall and 0-1 in LSC play, take on No. 25-ranked Angelo State and Harding (Ark.) Saturday at noon and 5:30 p.m., respectively under the dome.
Freshmen
Meghan Bettis and
Addison Semer notched seven kills each to pace the MSU attack, while sophomore middle blocker
Sarah Garfield added six kills.
Tarleton State controlled the opening two sets, but the Mustangs jumped out to an early lead in the third set.
The TexAnns ran off five consecutive points to grasp a 15-13 edge. MSU didn't lead the rest of the way.
Tarleton State blitzed the Mustangs to the tune of a .333 attack percentage as Kaitlyn White and Kelsey Raglin pitched in seven kills.

Casey Fletcher led the defensive effort with 16 digs, while sophomore
Sarah Rosinke had 29 set assists and five digs.
Tarleton State claimed its fourth straight win to improve to 6-1 and 2-0.
