WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Angelo State's Abbie Lynn and Zoey Hanrahan combined for 32 kills to lead the 25th-ranked Rambelles to a 25-17, 24-26, 25-14, 25-19 win over Midwestern State in Lone Star Conference play Saturday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The loss was the second straight for MSU, which fell to 4-3 overall and to 0-2 in conference play.
The Mustangs take on Harding (Ark.) in a non-conference match later this afternoon at 5:30 p.m.
Angelo State (6-1, 3-0) used a stout defensive effort to limit the Mustangs to a .092 team attack percentage placing five players in double figure kills led by senior libero Shelby Wilt with 25.
MSU junior outside hitter
Hunter Porter came off the bench to lead the attack with 11 kills, while junior
Nicole Marzik chipped in 10 kills and notched her fourth double-double of the season with 19 digs.
The Mustangs enjoyed a strong net back combining for nine total team blocks led by the stellar play of sophomore middle blocker
Sarah Garfield with five total blocks including a solo stop.
Garfield was also strong on the attack with eight kills while committing no errors in 18 swings for a .444 attack percentage.

Casey Fletcher had 25 digs to lead back row efforts while sophomore setter
Sarah Rosinke also completed a double-double with 23 set assists to go along with 10 digs.
