WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The 18th-ranked Midwestern State Mustangs won their 16th straight at the MSU Tennis Center on Friday afternoon as they ripped 39th ranked Washburn 8-1.
MSU collects its third straight victory in going to 16-6 overall. Washburn dropped its third straight in falling to 5-11.
"This was a match we needed," said junior
Jarrod Liston. "It's a great win in the middle of three in a row."
The Mustangs jumped out to a lead and never looked back after going 3-0 in doubles.

Kyle Davidson won at No. 2 against the Ichabods Chance Joost/Bobby Florence 8-4, with Liston/
Zack Santagate collecting No. 3 over Marko Keulers/Thilo Schlenker 8-6.
In singles action, the Mustangs claimed all but the No. 5 spot, the last match on the court.
Boborykin, ranked 30th nationally, beat Kozaczuk in three sets 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 at No. 1, with 34th ranked Davidson claiming a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 against Bobby Florence.
Liston won at No. 3 versus Schlenker 7-5, 6-2, Christopher Norrie downed Keulers 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4, and
Keegan Sullivan beat Fletcher 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6.
The sole Washburn point came at No. 5 singles, as Joost outlasted Grejtak 6-7, 7-5, 10-6.
The Mustangs close out their three matches in three days stretch and end the regular season on Saturday afternoon against Texas-Permian Basin. First serve at the MSU Tennis Center is set for 2:30.
