ABOUT THE CAVALIERS
- St. Gregory's rolled up a 24-10 record on the way to the NAIA national quarterfinals.
- The Cavaliers are off to a 5-5 start this season, but three of the five losses have come to nationally ranked teams.
- St. Gregory's has also taken exhibition losses to Cameron (93-73) and West Texas A&M (89-49) out of NCAA Division II.
- Senior guard Marty Wilkerson leads the Cavaliers pouring in 24.6 points per game shooting 41.7 percent from the field while dishing out 3.6 assists and pulling down 3.2 rebounds a contest.
- Senior guards T.J. Thornton (11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds) and Trey Jones (10.0 points) also average in double figures for St. Gregory's.
- The Cavaliers score 79.8 points per game and allow 82.7.

- Midwestern State claimed three wins during an eight-day road trip taking wins in Florida over Nova Southeastern (75-55) and Lynn (90-83/2OT) before taking an 83-57 decision over South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, S.D.
- The Mustangs extended their current winning streak to five games. It's longest streak since MSU won 11 consecutive games from Jan. 25-March 7, 2014. That streak including three overtime victories.
- MSU has won four of the five games by double figures with an average margin of victory of 24.8 points.
- The Mustangs have out-rebounded their last five opponents by at least 10 boards. MSU boasts a +18.8 rebound margin during its current winning streak.
- Junior guard
Bretson McNeal (Minneapolis, Minn. / DeLaSalle HS (North Dakota State Science))needed just 21 minutes to drop in 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting with four 3-pointers Thursday against South Dakota Mines.

McNeal is averaging 19.3 points per game since coming back off of injury three games ago. During that stretch he has knocked down 10-of-18 3-pointers (.556) and struck for 27 points against Lynn.

Thaddeus Rideau (Port Arthur, Texas / East Ascension HS (UAB)) splashed in 10 of his last 18 3-point attempts (.556) over the last four games which include consecutive 15-point performances against College of Faith (Ark.) and Nova Southeastern (Fla).

Danny Lawhorn (Hartford, Conn. / South Kent HS (Washington State)) dished out five assists in two of his three outings since joining the team following the fall semester.

Trevor Fuller (Dallas, Texas / Episcopal School (San Diego))has connected on 16 of his last 18 shots (.889) over his last six outings.
- Senior guard
Derrell Gibbs (Wichita Falls, Texas / Burkburnett HS) got off to quick starts in two his last three games going for 13 points in the opening half against Nova Southeastern then went for 12 points before intermission Thursday at South Dakota Mines.
- Senior forward
Abiodun Adegoke (Buford, Ga. / Mill Creek HS (Western Texas)) averaged seven points and 9.8 rebounds a game during the Mustangs' recent three-game road swings which included 12 rebounds against Nova Southeastern and a career-best 14 against South Dakota Mines.
- Junior forward
Khapri Alston (Chicago, Ill. / Thornwood HS (Northeast CC (Neb.))) collected at least six rebounds in each of his last four games and is coming off of a season-best seven-board outing at South Dakota Mines.
THE HAGGERTY ERA

Nelson Haggerty enters his fourth season at the helm for Midwestern State as one of the top young coaches in college basketball.
- Haggerty boasts a 84-24 mark (.778) leading the Mustangs to Lone Star Conference championships in each of his three seasons as head coach.
- Haggerty earned NABC South Central Region and Lone Star Conference coach of the year honors in his rookie season of 2011-12 piloting the Mustangs to their third consecutive Elite Eight showing.
- With Haggerty on the bench (including two seasons as top assistant), MSU has advanced to three Elite Eights (2010, 2011, 2012) and to the NCAA Division II postseason five consecutive years.
DOME MAGIC
- Midwestern State boasts a 547-128 all time mark (.810) in the 46-year history of D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- MSU won 70 consecutive games under the dome from Jan. 5, 1973 to Jan. 24, 1977 then peeled off 41 straight victories from Nov. 18, 2008 to Feb. 16, 2011.
- The Mustangs are 41-4 (.911) at Ligon Coliseum during
Nelson Haggerty's tenure at the helm (2011-present).
- Midwestern's current home winning streak is 10 games dating back to an 83-81 loss to Tarleton State on Jan. 15, 2014.
