WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State opens Lone Star Conference play Tuesday night against 15th-ranked West Texas A&M at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

The Mustangs (7-1) are off to their best start since 2008 after taking three of our matches at the Heartland/Lone Star Conference Crossover last weekend in Lubbock.
MSU is paced by senior middle blocker

Beatriz Villalba (2.26 kills) give the Mustangs a pair of solid options on the outside as the team also boasts the league's top hitting percentage at .234.

Sarah Rosinke (6.54 assists, 2.39 digs) splits setting chores with senior all-around player
Marija Jovanovic (1.89 kills, 4.57 assists, 2.79 digs), while junior middle blocker Kaitlyn Molloy leads the defensive effort ranking among LSC leaders with 0.96 blocks and 3.68 digs per set.
West Texas A&M (6-3) dropped three of four matches last weekend at the highly competitive Colorado Premiere in Denver. The Buffs fell to No. 1 Tampa, No. 21 Regis and Florida Southern while taking a five-set win over Adams State.
The Lady Buffs boast one of the top net games in NCAA Division II averaging just under three blocks per set led by senior Laura Iwuchukwu (1.74 blocks), sophomore Lexi Davis (1.03 blocks) and senior Ashley Davis (1.00 blocks).
WT boasts a team attack percentage of .210 paced by senior Halie Harton (2.97 kills), senior Lee Golden (2.30 kills), junior Lauren Bevan (2.26 kills) and Iwuchukwu (2.06 kills).
