LAWTON, Okla. – For the third straight outing, the Midwestern State Mustangs saw the final match on the court decide match. Unfortunately for MSU, it was not to be as the 18th ranked Cameron Aggies outlasted the 30th ranked Mustangs 5-4 at the Cameron Tennis Center.
The Mustangs (14-6, 6-2) claimed wins in two of the three doubles matches, but managed only two singles wins when Florencia Tomero downed 
Ashley Huse 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 to decide the match.
"Ashley has been playing so well this year and she did again today," said MSU Coach 
Scott Linn. "We just didn't play well as a team. Cameron is a good squad."
Sophomore 
Lindsey Holcomb step up for the Mustangs. First she partnered with Huse at No. 3 doubles to beat Antonia Moberg and Tomero 8-3, then ripped Mobert 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.
"Holcomb did a great job," Linn remarked. "She stuck with the game plan and did just what we wanted."
MSU also got a pair of points from 
Leah Roberts who partnered with 
Abbie Lewis at No. 2 doubles for an 8-4 win over Sara Londono and Elle Sholles before beating Londono at No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-0.
The Mustangs were hampered by the Cameron upset at No. 1 doubles, when Amanda Moberg and Julia PuckHaber beat Rozike van Rensburg and 
Alex Odell-Michels 8-2.
The Mustangs wrapped up Lone Star Conference play with the match and are off until Sunday when they visit Texas Lutheran for a non-conference match.
