ST. JOSEPH, MO. - No. 50 Midwestern State rolled to its third straight win with a 5-0 blanking of Northwest Missouri State Friday night at the Tennis and Swim Club.
The Mustangs rattled off three easy doubles' victories as
Alex Odell-Michels and
Rozike Janzen van Rensburg beat Erika Leston and Leslee Feldhaus 8-2 at No. 1,
Leah Roberts and
Abbie Lewis took down Alexis Bartek and Emily Hoffman 8-2 at No. 2 and
Ashley Huse and
Lindsey Holcomb combined for an 8-4 win over Sureena Weir and Alison Wulff at No. 3.
MSU finished the match which was called short due to the availability of two indoor courts at the Tennis and Swim Club with two quick singles' victories.
Van Rensburg defeated Northwest's Leston 7-5, 6-0 at No. 1 and Roberts aced Weir 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2.
Odell-Michels led the No. 2 matchup 6-4, 3-4 when the match was ended.
The Mustangs (11-4) take on Tyler Junior College Tuesday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center. First service is set for 3 p.m.
Northwest Missouri State dropped to 4-6.
