WICHITA FALLS, Texas - No. 23 Midwestern State head into the Christmas Break with a 10-0 record after blasting Abilene Christian 74-62 in Lone Star Conference play Monday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

Anthony Harris' all-around performance with 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots led the way for the Mustangs.
Abilene Christian (5-6, 0-4) battled back from a 15-point first-half deficit to take a brief lead when Antonio Bell hit a hanging jumper in the paint to give the Wildcats a 38-37 lead with 18:49 to play.
But the Mustangs answered with a resounding 10-2 run spurred by back-to-back transition layups by junior guard
JaMichael Rivers to take a 47-40 lead with 15:26 to go. Rivers finished with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting in 23 minutes.
The Wildcats crept back within four points before MSU pushed the lead back to a game-high 12 points when
Kevin Loyd's 3-ball from the right wing staked the Mustangs to a 62-50 lead with 6:26 to play.
David Terrell tallied pitched in 12 points on mixture of lob passes and baseline cuts. He finished the night going 6-for-7 from the field to go along with four rebounds and two assists.
The hot-shooting Mustangs fired in 16-of-27 shots (59.3 percent) in the second half to finish the game at 53.3 percent.
Michael Loyd added 10 points and six assists, while junior guard
Kevin Grayer added seven points in 15 minutes off of the bench.
Zach Williams paced Abilene Chrstian with 15 points and four rebounds, while Antonio Bell had 11 points and three assists.
Midwestern State returns to action against Oklahoma Wesleyan on Friday, Dec. 30. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
