Preseason Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Year LaMarshall Corbett still leads Angelo State in all scoring statistics at 21.8 points per game.
And he's still a dangerous option connecting on 2.4 3-pointers a game after leading the team in scoring during the Rams' first six games - all loses.
Now, Angelo State become senior forward Ridge McKeither's domain as the multifaceted big man has raised his average to 20.3 points a contest while shooting 57.6 percent field with a blistering array of moves in the paint.
But perhaps his most effective weapon is his ability to flat-out rebound the basketball as McKeither - a 6-6, 235-pound transfer from Tennessee-Chattanooga - is pulling down a league-high 11.3 rebounds a contest including a staggering 4.9 offensive boards a game.
Senior guard Richard Thomas adds 15.3 points a game while pulling in 5.0 rebounds per contest.
Steven Moore (8.6 points, 3.9 assists), LaDonn Huckaby (4.8 points, 4.2 rebounds) and Trey Mays (3.0 points 2.4 rebounds) are the only other Rams averaging more than 20 minutes a contest.
Angelo State has won three of its last five games after opening the season with six consecutive losses.
