WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Midwestern State rolled to an 8-1 win over Southeastern Oklahoma Thursday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center.
Monika Graff continued her impressive freshman campaign by completing her 17th-straight straight-set victory with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Amber Thompson at No. 3 singles to improve to 18-1 this spring.
The Lohmar, Germany native also upped her doubles record while teamed with junior
Leah Roberts to 18-0 with an 8-2 victory over Thompson and Camilla Goncalves at No. 1.
The Mustangs enjoyed straight-set decisions at each singles' spot as
Alex Odell-Michels beat Cassandra Kleber 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1,
Kaja Banas blanked Goncalves 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, Roberts thumped Mayra Leal 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4,
Lindsey Holcomb pounded Sofia Molina 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 and
Holly Gunderson outlasted Sara Schmidt 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.
Odell-Michels and Holcomb also combined to beat Leal and Molina 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.
Midwestern State (14-7) closes the regular season Tuesday at University of Texas-Tyler.
