Elena Bennett, who was 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, reached on a bunt single and redshirt-freshman
Courtney Bingham drew a walk before both would come around to score when ENMU right fielder Jessica Childers dropped
Lauren Craig's fly ball to give the Mustangs a 2-1 lead.
But Tanner continued to struggle despite fanning seven players through three innings of work.
ENMU starting pitcher Kimberly Crouse whacked a double to center field to drive in Childers to knot the game at 2-2 in the second inning.
