WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Midwestern State used a strong defensive effort to roll to a 24-26, 25-23, 25-19, 25-20 win over Central Oklahoma in Lone Star Conference play Saturday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
With the win, the Mustangs evened their regular season mark to 13-13 while improving to 7-5 in league play.

Taylor Parker led the way with a season-high 24 digs to lead back row efforts as four other Mustangs notched double-doubles including junior
Hillary White (12 kills, 22 digs), senior
Karolina Damjanovic (12 kills, 15 digs),
Miranda Byrd (10 kills, 20 digs) and
Shelbi Stewart (14 kills, 10 digs).
The Mustangs finished with a season-high of 114 digs.
Midwestern State's two-setter attack proved efficient as
Taryn Westerman (29 assists) and
Kimberly Jeffrey (25 assist) piloted the team to a team hitting percentage of .222.
Stewart led the way with 14 kills and committed just four errors to hit .303 while White and Damjanovic had 12 kills and three errors to hit .237 and .265, respectively.
Alex Richardson paced the Central Oklahoma attack with 19 kills , while Tate Hardaker finished with 20 digs.
Midwestern State takes on Cameron Tuesday night in Lawton, Okla. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
The Bronchos fell to 18-10 and 6-6.
