WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Angelo State's killer trio of Chelsea Gibson, Alisa Meredith and Kaelen Valdez combined for 42 kills to lead the Rambelles to a 25-21, 25-17, 25-23 Saturday afternoon in Lone Star Conference action at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
It was the third straight loss for the Mustangs who fell to 10-10 on the season and 4-4 in league play, while Angelo State upped its marks to 11-10 and 7-1.
The Belle trio combined for a .386 attack percentage as Gibson finished with a match-high 17 kills followed by Meredith's 14 while Valdez finished with 11.
Midwestern State was paced by sophomore right-side hitter
Shelbi Stewart, who finished with 12 kills while hitting .409 while senior
Karolina Damjanovic tallied eight kills while committing just one error in 14 attempts for a .500 kill rate.

Kiara Jordan led back row efforts with 16 digs, while
Lauren Bayer had in hand in seven of MSU's nine total team blocks.
The Mustangs hit the road to face Lubbock Christian Monday night at Rip Griffin Arena. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
