LAWTON, Okla. - No. 28 Midwestern State edged No. 22 Southwest Baptist (Mo.) 5-4 for its second-straight win Friday afternoon at the Cameron University Tennis Courts.

The Mustangs jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles with Tiago Vilarinho/Carlos Bataller defeating Jorge Margaritta/Jorge Palacios 8-5 at No. 2 and Daniel McMullan/Chad Meeks beating Augustin Mollar/Tyler Welch 9-7 at No. 3.

The teams split singles' play with Bataller battling Mollar for a 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 3, McMullan defeating Margaritta in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 and Meeks rolling past Welch 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.

The Mustangs improved to 4-2 while Southwest Baptist fell to 2-2.
