PHOENIX - No. 32 Midwestern State claimed its second-straight victory Thursday night at the Grand Canyon President's Day Duels, taking a 6-3 decision over No. 23 Hawaii-Hilo at the Paseo Racquet Club.

Holly Gunderson blew past Akimi Kifune/Kari Rodrigues 8-3, respectively.
The Mustangs polished off the victory by claiming four of the six singles' contests.
Odell-Michels took Castaing 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 and D'Hamcourt rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Abella at No. 4 while Kinser beat Kifune 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 and Gunderson defeated Jenna DeCleene 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6 to account for the Mustangs' singles' wins.
Hawaii-Hilo fell to 1-1.
