WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State dropped its third-straight match Wednesday falling to Northwest Missouri State 5-4 at the MSU Tennis Courts.
The Mustangs, who fell to 7-4 on the season, play host to Southeastern Oklahoma State Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
MSU took a 2-1 lead after doubles led by No. 22 Melissa Dos Silva and
Faye D'Hamecourt, who claimed a 9-7 win over Lisa Pendrak and Carolina Amaral at No. 1.
But the Bearcats, who claimed third 10th-straight win to improve 10-2 on the season, claimed wins in four singles' matches to come away with the victory.
Northwest Missouri State's Kristina Vucenov, NCAA Division's No. 9 singles player, defeated Silva 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 1 position.
D'Hameourt won 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 over Lina Gomez at No. 4 and
Collean Kinser claimed a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 decision against Pendrak at No. 5.
