WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Brandy Moore led the Mustangs with a career high 25 points in Mustangs win over Abilene Christian 85-63 Saturday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
MSU improved 8-9 on the season and 2-2 in conference play. Abilene Christian fell to 8-9 and 2-2 LSC play.
Moore shot 50 percent from 3-point range, hitting four out of eight shots. Sophomore
Andrea Buben also shot 50 percent, hitting three out of six shots.
Other top scorers for Midwestern State were
Stacey Staten who added 11 points and eight boards and Buben who also had 11 points.
Tiffany Cook pulled down 9 rebounds for the Mustangs.
 Kristee Davidson led ACU with 11 points and Audrey Maxwell added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Midwestern State got off to a slow start falling behind to ACU by six points, but after four points from Staten and a 3-pointer by Moore the Mustangs would take the lead and never look back.
MSU went into halftime with a 44-33 lead.
In the second half it was all MSU. The Mustangs largest lead of the night was 23 points.
The Mustangs return to action Wednesday when they travel to Angelo State to take on the Rambelles. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
