DURANT, Okla. -- The Midwestern State softball team picked up two key Lone Star Conference wins, as they Knocked off Southeastern Oklahoma in a doubleheader at Durant.

MSU (25-11, 9-5) won the first game 6-1, with Tara Staten going 2-3 from the plate with two doubles and one RBI. Pitcher Katie Petersen had another solid game as she was 2-4 from the plate with two RBI's, and struck out six batters, as her record moved to14-8.

The Mustangs won the second game as well, 9-4. Kelli Shaw went 4-4 from the plate with four RBI's, while Tara Staten had another solid game, going 2-4 with three RBI's.  Pitcher Ashley Kuchenski picked up the win, as her record moved to 11-2, while going 1-3 from the plate.

Midwestern will be home in LSC North play as they host SEOSU on Wednesday. The two teams will play a doubleheader with game one set to start at 1:00 p.m. at the Sunrise Optimist fields.
