LAWTON, Okla. -- The Midwestern State softball team had its eight game win streak snapped as they lost a doubleheader to Cameron.
MSU (22-10, 6-4) lost the first game 3-1, with
Maranda Bishop going 2-3 from the plate. Pitcher
Katie Petersen had a solid game despite the loss as she was 1-3 from the plate with a double, and struck out 10 batters, as her record fell to 12-8.
The Mustangs lost the second game as well 10-7.
Kristen Stonecipher,
Jessica Rodriguez, and
Amanda Hill all hit homeruns, while
Lindsey Voigt went 4-4 from the plate. Pitcher
Ashley Kuchenski picked up the loss, as her record moved to 10-2
Midwestern will be home in LSC North play as they host Cameron on Thursday. The two teams will play a doubleheader with game one set to start at 1:00 p.m. at the Sunrise Optimist fields.
