Mustangs blow by Cameron in overtime, 71-60

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Midwestern State dominated overtime Saturday night to come away with a 71-60 win over Cameron at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

After Cameron's Tiffany Williams opened the extra session with a driving layup, the Mustangs scored the next nine points to take control of the contest.

Junior post Rosy Ofoegbu got the rally started after converting a driving assist from Stacey Staten.

Senior guard Kaylon Hodge converted a steal and layup before Staten laid in another bucket off of a Brittni Morrison assist.

Staten, who was fouled on her move to the basket, converted three-point play to give MSU a 64-59 lead.

Ofoegbu would add another baseline jumper to give the Mustangs a commanding 66-59 lead with 2:35 remaining.

Junior guard Brandy Moore paced the Mustangs with 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, while Ofoegbu added 15 points and nine rebounds.

The duo was joined in double figures by Morrison, who had 12 points and nine rebounds, and Kaylon Hodge, who had 11 points and four steals.

Cameron was led by Williams, who had 22 points, 12 rebounds and four steals.
