WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Midwestern State University volleyball team defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State University in a four game match (3-1) on Saturday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The Mustangs dominated during the first and second game of the match, however fell during the third game. This fall was just what MSU needed to get back on track. The Mustangs led throughout the fourth game, causing them to win the match overall.
Senior middle blocker,
Krissa Johnson led the team with 16 kills during the match with 58 assists by junior setter,
Allison Schreiber. On the defensive end of the match, the team's lead blockers were sophomore middle blocker,
Sesley Graves, and junior middle blocker,
Whitney Maxwell totaling 13 blocks for the match.
Freshman outside hitter
Lauren Hubbard showed her stuff after being put in during the third game. She had a total of eleven attacks and five kills, and seven digs. Overall, Hubbard played a good game Saturday afternoon.
This afternoon's win over Southeastern brought Midwestern to a record of 20-3 and drops Southeastern's record to 5-15 . The Mustangs take on Dallas Baptist on Tuesday, October 16th at D.L. Ligon Coliseum at 7:30 p.m.
