Mustangs Pick Up Big Win

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Freshman Kari Bristow scored her fourth goal of the year on a game winning over time goal, to beat Southwestern Oklahoma State, 1-0.With the win, Midwestern clinches a spot in the Lone Star Conference post season tournament.

Midwestern (9-6-1, 5-2-1) out shot the Southwestern (6-8-2, 3-4-1) in the game, 17-6.

Both goal keepers played well, with the Bulldog's Keli Bass recording five saves, and the Mustang's Heather Primavera saving three of the six shots she faced. Primavera also picked up her second straight shut out, and improved her record on the year to 8-5-1.

The Mustangs well face number 17 Central Oklahoma on Sunday, for their final regular season game of the season. The match will kickoff at 6 p.m.
