WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Midwestern State University Mustangs took only 45 minutes to dispatch of Paul Quinn College in a non-conference volleyball match Monday night, taking the Tigers 3-0.
MSU (11-13 overall) trounced PQC (3-15) by scores of 30-9, 30-10, 30-9.
MSU hit 50.6 percent as a team for the match, collecting 45 team kills and eight service aces.
Junior
Krissa Johnson of Denver City collected nine kills, hit .571, and recorded three service aces to lead the team, with freshman
Jessica Ransom of Wichita Falls/High marking nine kills with a .471 hitting percentage and junior
Rachel Gilmore of Arlington/Lamar posting eight kills with a .583 hitting percentage.
Sophomore
Allison Schreiber of Windthorst had 22 assists while splitting time at setter with senior
Kim Doolittle of Peoria, Ariz., who posted 15 assists.

Whitney Maxwell of Mabank and freshman
Sesley Graves of Wichita Falls/High each had four blocks. Junior
Carley Schick of Tyler also had three aces, all on three consecutive serves.
Paul Quinn College was led by Misti Lovett who recorded six kills in the match.
MSU returns to Lone Star Conference North play on Thursday when the Mustangs travel to Texas A&M-Commerce for a 7 p.m., match.
