DENTON, Texas – The Midwestern State University volleyball team ran it's record to 18-8 overall with a 30-24, 30-18, 29-31, 30-26 victory over Tarleton State University in the Lone Star Conference Crossover Tournament at Texas Woman's University.
MSU nearly grabbed the victory in three games, but dropped that third game after holding a 29-26 lead.
Junior
Candice Main of Fort Worth/Castleberry posted a team season-high of 27 kills with an attack percentage of .489 and four blocks to lead the way. Sophomore
Krissa Johnson of Denver City collected her season-high of 14 kills with a .394 hitting percentage and five blocks.
Sophomore
Rachel Gilmore of Arlington/Lamar added four blocks as well, while Windthorst freshman
Allison Schreiber tallied 55 assists.
MSU continues in the tournament on Saturday with matches against Eastern New Mexico at 9 a.m. and Angelo State at 3 p.m.
