Caitlin Schultze

Caitlin Schultze begins her second season as assistant coach at Midwestern State serving as the pitching coach.
 
Schultze, who doubles as a strength and conditioning coach, earned four letters as a catcher in the Southeastern Conference. Her stint at Auburn coincides with current MSU boss Mark Ryal's stint on Tina Deese's staff, as the two helped the Tigers to three NCAA regional appearances from 2010-13.
 
Schultze competed in 140 games over four seasons logging 14 doubles and five homers. The Auburn pitching staff posted a 2.52 ERA over her tenure with 40 shutouts.
 
The Queensbury, N.Y. native earned five softball letters and two in field hockey as a prep earning all-state honors in both sports.
 
Her father, Steve, played baseball collegiately at Bowling Green before enjoying a brief professional career in the Chicago Cubs organization.
