Vinicius Oliveira

Vinicius Oliveira da Silva was named Assistant Athletic Director for Business & Finance at Midwestern State in the fall of 2025. He supports financial operations, budget management, strategic planning, and administrative initiatives across the athletic department.

Oliveira is a business analytics professional with experience spanning collegiate athletics, financial management, and data-driven decision-making.

Originally from Brazil, Oliveira moved to the United States in 2018 to pursue higher education and collegiate athletics. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a minor in Finance from Our Lady of the Lake University before completing an MBA in Business Analytics with a concentration in Energy Management at Midwestern State.

Oliveira began his career in collegiate athletics as a graduate assistant for the men’s and women’s tennis programs at Midwestern State. He was named the interim head coach in the spring of 2025, leading a highly regarded tennis program while overseeing recruiting, budget administration, scholarship management, travel logistics, and student-athlete development. His coaching experience provides a strong foundation in leadership, operations, and team management, which he applies in his administrative capacity.

Prior to entering collegiate athletics full-time, Oliveira gained experience in financial technology and operations at Synapse Financial Technologies, where he supported process improvement initiatives, customer operations, and cross-functional projects. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in financial reporting, business analytics, process optimization, stakeholder communication, and strategic planning.

Combining his background in athletics, business, and analytics, Oliveira is passionate about using data-driven insights to improve organizational performance, enhance operational efficiency, and support long-term strategic growth. His professional interests include business analytics, finance, and the energy industry.
