Marvin Johnson enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach at Midwestern State heading into the 2022-23 season.
Johnson brings plethora of coaching experiences into his current position with the Mustangs.
He was an assistant coach at Nova Southeastern's University School helping the program to a district title in 2019-20.
Johnson served as a coach in the United State Basketball Academy in Chengdu, China from 2017-19 directing a program which served 300 players aged 6-18
He took on assistant coaching duties at American Heritage School in his home town of Plantation, Florida for the 2016-17 campaign.
Johnson also helped with Miami Heat camps, coached with Pro Guard Development, and served as a basketball league manager for Young Israel of Hollywood.
He also was the basketball team manager for coach Anthony Evans at Florida International University during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons helping to coordinate team film breakdown and arrange plans and budget while also assisting coaches with player development and participating in practices.
Johnson competed in competed in one season of collegiate basketball appearing in 30 games for the State College of Florida during the 2011-12 seasons.
He is pursuing a Masters in Business Administration degree at Midwestern State.
