Rick Brown enters his first season as assistant volleyball coach at Midwestern State University during the 2021-22 year. He will act as recruiting coordinator, main contact for team travel, video, stats, and scouting opponents.
Brown has sat in a variety of coaching roles at the collegiate and high school levels. He last served as the assistant women's volleyball coach at McCook Community College in McCook, Nebraska. Brown had a hand in fundraising, recruiting, and planning drills for the Indians.
For three years, Brown served as Head Volleyball Coach at Basis.ed Charter School in Mesa, Arizona, and Combs High School in San Tan Valley, Arizona. During his tenure he taught fundamental skills, raised money for the volleyball programs, and conducted skills camps.
Brown was also part of the Eastern Wyoming College staff as an assistant coach under Hall of Famer, Verl Petsch. There he helped the Lancers gain over 200 wins in five season with two trips to the National Championship Tournament.
Brown holds a BSBA in Computer Information Systems from Northern Arizona Univeristy and a AAS in Management Information Systems from Eastern Wyoming College.
