Posted a 13-3 singles mark and was 11-4 in doubles as a senior at the University of Tampa. Also competed three seasons at South Florida helping the Bulls to a pair of Big East runner-up finishes in 2011 and 2012.

Katheryne Pyne enters her first season as a graduate assistant women's tennis at Midwestern State after completing a four-year collegiate career at the University of Tampa in 2014.

The highly versatile and athletic Pyne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications at Tampa where she compiled a 13-3 mark in singles play picking up victories against numerous ranked opponents including No. 6 Lynn (Fla.), No. 9 Rollins (Fla.), No. 15 Florida Tech, No. 21 St. Mary's (Texas), No. 44 Indiana (Pa.), No. 45 Chestnut Hill (Pa.) and No. 50 Wayne State (Mich.).

Pyne, who also went 11-4 in doubles' play as a senior, earned numerous academic accolades while posting a 4.0 grade-point average at Tampa. She was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and was on the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in addition to earning a D2 Athletic Director's Assocaition Academic Achievement Award.

Pyne competed on the Division I level for her first three seasons of competition at the University of South Florida as a member of the Bulls' Big East runner-up squads in 2011 and 2012.
