Amanda Snodgrass begins her fourth season as Midwestern State's top assistant coach in 2016.
She is definitely not a stranger to the MSU sideline as she served as a graduate assistant for long-time head coach Jeff Trimble from 2004-06, helping to mentor a pair of first team Lone Star Conference defenders in Cassidy Guice (2004, 2005) and Melissa "Moose" Brown (2006).
Snodgrass played a key role in helping the Mustangs claim their second Lone Star Conference Championship over the span of three seasons in 2013 by assembling a defensive unit which ranked 46th in NCAA Division II by limiting the opposition to a 0.824 goals against average. The unit which featured LSC Goalkeeper of the Year Kallie Essary and first team all-league performer Anna Molen posted nine clean sheets.
Snodgrass mentored a second consecutive LSC Goalkeeper of the Year in Courtney Burnette in 2014. The redshirt freshman posted six clean sheets on her way to claiming first team All-Lone Star Conference accolades.
In 2015, Snodgrass guided Imani Morlock to LSC Freshman of the Year and first team all-league honors as one of just two freshmen to earn all-conference accolades. Morlock and Burnette, an LSC honorable mention pick, spearheaded a defense that recorded seven shutouts while holding opponents to a 1.01 goals against average.
The former Amanda Burross enjoyed a stellar playing career from 2000 to 2003 with the then-Lady Indians, earning first team All-LSC honors as a defender following her senior campaign in 2003.
Snodgrass remained on campus to serve as MSU's special events coordinator for five years in the Clark Student Center.
She is married to former men's basketball standout Craig Snodgrass (1996-00). They are the proud parents to daughter Kendall (6) and son Cole (5). The family resides in Wichita Falls.Â
